The second meeting of the EU-Passworld Advisory Board took place online on Monday, 12 December 2022.
In coordination with UNHCR and Nasc, Refugee Hub chaired the first in-person Policy Design Session on Education Pathways in July 2022, held in Dublin, Ireland. It included the participation of key stakeholders from civil society and universities, such as the University of Sanctuary representatives from the University of Galway, University College Dublin (UCD), Trinity College Dublin (TCD), Dublin City University (DCU), and the University of Limerick (UL), the Irish Council for International Students (ICOS), the UNHCR’s Refugee Advisory Board, the Open Community, the Irish Refugee Council and Doras.
The attendees welcomedinput from the experience of King’s College, London and World University Service of Canada in welcoming refugees to their campuses. The focus of the workshop was to brainstorm on the challenges and solutions relating to housing, fundraising and community sponsorship of the establishment of an education pathway.
